Doctor's Visit
Jay got his four-month vaccinations on Tuesday. I'm so glad our doctor has extended hours so that Matt could go with us and hold Jay's hand while the nurse gave him his shots. I cried, too!
Jay currently weighs 16lb 9oz, and is 26.25 inches long! That puts him in the 90th percentile for height and the 75th percentile for weight. The doctor said he is very healthy! Praise God!!!

Indian Mounds
On Saturday, our little family visited the Crystal River Indian mounds. The mounds were mostly prehistoric-ish waste heaps, but now they're covered over in vegetation and have very nice walking paths around them.

Four Months Old!
Jay, you are four months old today!
This month, you began holding your head up so well, you were able to start using a bouncy seat!
You're also doing great with your tummy time and are holding your head up (especially with a little help!)
You still love music, especially in church when Daddy is holding you. In fact, whenever Daddy sings to you, you stop crying and just listen. You love the sound of your Daddy's voice!
Speaking of Daddy, we got to have him home with us for two whole weeks over Christmas break! You and Daddy played together a LOT! You love it when Daddy "flys" you over his head and says "Superbaby!"
You started talking a lot more this month. You're not speaking English yet, but you definitely know what you are saying! When you're hungry, you cry "Ghee! Ghee!", and Daddy and I are convinced that our genius baby is saying "Hungry!"
You got to celebrate your first Christmas last month! You loved tearing the paper off of your presents, and tried to eat the paper! We went to Grandma Linda's and Papa's house for Christmas Eve morning, and you had so much fun watching your little cousins run around that it wore you out and you fell asleep on Mommy's lap.
You are such a wonderful baby! Mommy is so blessed to get to spend every hour of every day with you!!! You are her dream job!
Now, what will month #4 bring???
