Tutu Turns 100!

Our precious Tutu turned 100 years old on Monday, July 6! Despite the virus, were decided to take the risk and travel to Ohio to celebrate her.

Grace

Our sweet cousin Grace (12 years old) is living with us for a few days while we wait to see if her family was exposed to the virus while we were in Ohio (she went to Ohio with us). She misses her family, but we love this time with her!

David calls her “my Gace”.  As in “Where my Gace??”  While we were in Ohio, she made a point to include him and help him do everything the big kids were doing.

Dadid

David’s language is also exploding right now! Cute things he’s said lately:

David can correctly say “TV” and “seven”, but still calls himself “Dadid.”  😍

He asked if he could go to school, and I told him he could go in three years when he is five. He pumped both fists into the air and yelled “AWESOME!”

He tried to open a door, but couldn’t. He looked up at me and shrugged and said “So close.”

The only pronoun he uses for himself is “my”. As in “My did it!”

Potty Trained/ing!

David potty trained himself on our two-day drive back from Ohio! Matt thinks he must have been uncomfortable sitting in a wet diaper so he just held it, but he managed to stay dry while napping too. Amazing kid!!

Catching Up

I’ve let so much time go by since I last posted! Sweet David is two and a half now and I stopped blogging before he was even born. But it’s too overwhelming to try to remember everything, I’m just going to have the goal to start posting more often and try to capture the little moments in my babies’ lives.

Ella Girl

Jay figured out how to completely buckle himself into his car seat.  The next day, so did Ella.  As she was working on getting the buckles in, I heard her say:

"Come on, Ella. You've got this.  I believe in you."

Funny girl

conversation this morning:

Ella:  I have a baby in my tummy!

Jay:  No, you don't!

Ella:  You're right.  It's just a monkey.
